CPTC is a computer security penetration testing competition where students can practice their craft in penetration testing and receive guidance and mentorship from industry professionals. Unfortunately, these competitions are difficult to visualize and spectate during the competition, as most of the information about what happened occurs after the competition during teams' reports and write-ups of the event.
The organization's website goes into more detail on the competition and affiliated topics here.
Our team collaborated with the competition organizers to attempt to give visuals and form to the events of this competition. Using the Unity Engine, our team created a program that could process log data and present it to a livestream. Combined with a Twitch stream we were able to produce content including interviews, educational pieces, and casting over the data our visualizer presented.
